The Outstanding Team Member Award

The Outstanding Team Member Award is given out to the team member who goes above and beyond his or her job and shows true dedication to caring for the animals we treat here at Spencer Springs.

Carolyn Taylor
My father was in the military and was stationed in Seoul, S. Korea when I was born. We lived there until I was 7 years old. Then my father was then stationed here in Las Vegas, and I’ve been here ever since. I also met my husband here, who happens to be a retired boxer. I have three wonderful children, four beautiful grandchildren, and two furry sons.

After raising my children, I knew I wanted to work with animals. In the past, I held a management position at a retail store before deciding to continue my education. Five years ago, I enrolled into the Veterinary Assistant program at Pima Medical Institute. Midway through the course I applied here, at Spencer Springs. I was so excited when I got called in for an interview. I plan on going to CSN this fall or the next to finish my education in this field.

Working here has been a wonderful experience so far. I’ve learned a lot from the doctors and technicians. My teammates here are wonderful, fun, and caring individuals. Dr. Hicks and his wife, Marith, are such great people to work for. I’ve never worked in a place where I love going to work.
