Congratulations to John Andy Clark!

Congratulations to John Andy Clark, one of our Veterinary Assistants, who was recently accepted to Veterinary School. Actually, "Andy" was accepted at THREE Veterinary Schools, which is a phenomenal achievement in itself! These include Washington State University, Colorado State University, and the University at Wisconsin, the latter of which he has chosen to attend this Fall. Previously, Andy had spent a summer in South Africa volunteering on a game capture team, helping to safely transport animals for release in a refuge area. Andy, originally a theater major, had met his wife, Amanda Huddleston, while performing in Les Misérables. However, he knew he wanted to become a veterinarian, so left the stage to attend Hunter College in New York and worked at the ASPCA with Animal Planet's Animal Cops for a year. When Andy and his wife came to Las Vegas in 2006 for her to take part in the show currently at the Venetian Hotel, Phantom (in which she plays the part of Christine), he transferred to UNLV and came to work at SSAH. We are sad to lose such a dynamic, bright veterinary assistant, but we are certain that the future "Dr. Andy" will be a great veterinarian!
